Forecast Music is now accepting scores for their “4th Annual Call for Scores” concert this spring in New York City. Three to four works will be selected depending on length, difficulty and ensemble instrumentation.

“New Vocal Music” is the theme of our 2009 Call for Scores. Available voices types: soprano, mezzo, tenor, baritone, bass. We welcome traditional song cycles, boundary pushing scores, short opera excerpts and everything in between. Works ten minutes or shorter are preferred. Permission to use text must be secured by the composer. Instrumentation is completely open. Scores with no more than three instruments plus one or two singers will be considered. Works with electronics happily accepted.

We do not accept electronic submissions. Please note all notifications and communication will be done via email. Take care to include your email address with the submission.

2) Bound score(s);
3) CD recording (one CD if more than one entry please, NO cassette tapes, MIDI realization fine);
4) $10 check or money order made out to Forecast Music (additional scores $5);
5) SASE if you would like materials returned.
